Sydney Polynesian Dance take you back to the South Pacific Islands providing you with a quality performance full of passion and pride. Sydney Polynesian Dance provide both traditional and modernised styles of Cook Island dancing (Kaparima, Ura Pau & Pe’e), Tahitian dancing (Aparima & Otea), Hawaiian dancing (Hula Kahiko & Hula ‘auana), Samoan dancing (Faataupati & Siva) and New Zealand Maori (Haka & Poi).

Sydney Polynesian Dance can provide:

Female dancers Male dancers
Fire dancing - also referred to as the Siva Afi from Samoa
String band - Tahitian, Hawaiian or Cook Island
Tahitian Drummers - Cook Island

If requested each performance can include audience participation.

Sydney Polynesian Dance not only provide quality performances but also focus highly on interpreting each culture correctly and respectfully so that their audience not only enjoy their performance but also learn the individuality and uniqueness of each culture. Dancers in the group are come from various countries across the South Pacific including the Cook Islands, Aotearoa (New Zealand), Tahiti, Rotuma (Fiji), Samoa and Tonga.

Sydney Polynesian Dance are available in various show formats depending on budget and event.

The following is a popular floorshow format:

• 30 minutes inclusive of audience participation • Female dancers- 5 to 8 dancers • Male dancers- 4 to 7 dancers • Drummers- 5 to 8 drummers • Fire dancers- 2 to 3 fire dancers upon request • Other Pacific Island Cultures- Can be performed upon request


Sydney Polynesian Dance cater for all events such including birthdays, weddings, christmas parties, festivals and corporate events.
